Illinois, due to its geographic location, is one of the primary railroading states in America. Illinois is crossed by thousands of miles of railroad tracks and as a result has thousands of railroad grade crossings. The railroads have an obligation to maintain crossings in such a way that motorists are protected from oncoming trains. Despite this obligation people are often injured and killed because the public is not warned of the presence of train traffic at the crossings.

Complex Federal and State laws govern the manner and mechanisms by which the railroads operate. We have litigated these catastrophic cases in venues across the state and are experienced in cases involving crossing design and engineering/conductor negligence. The railroads move aggressively to limit their liability in cases where they are exposed because of negligence.

If you or a loved one has been hurt or killed by a train we are available for a free consultation.
